You may calculate gallons needed by finding the feet per gallon and dividing your lineal feet by that number.
Although this chart is rounded up where needed, it does not include waste. Keep in mind that the depth is an average depth across the joint. If your estimations are generally short, check to see that you use average joint depth.
Conversions
To Convert Gallons of Caulking or Chinking to Cases:
10.5 oz. size tube = Total gallons _____ divided by .082 = _____ cases/tubes.
30 oz. size tube = Total gallons _____ divided by 2.34 = _____ cases/tubes.
To Convert Gallons to Tubes:
Total gallons _____ X 128(oz.) = _____ Total oz.
Then divide the Total oz. by the tube size:
10.5(oz.) or 30(oz.). = The Number of Tubes______________.
To Convert Tubes to Cases:
10.5(oz.) =_____ No. of tubes divided by 10 (cs.) = _____ cs.
30(oz.) = ______ No. of tubes divided by 10 (cs.) = _____ cs.
